Stay Informed

There are several ways for residents to be informed participants throughout the project.

Regularly visit the project website. This project website will be regularly updated with general project information, schedule updates, informational materials, draft documents, questionnaires, and community meeting notices and summary results.

Join the email list. Leave a comment and join the project email list to be the first to know of project updates.

Read and share informational materials. Informational fact sheets are brochures that provide important project facts and can be easily emailed, printed, and shared with neighbors, family, and friends. Two fact sheets will be developed during the project.

Be an Active Participant

Leave a comment. Do you have a general comment that wasn’t addressed in the questionnaire? Have you had a recent experience with the UDC or Town development process that you'd like to share? Feel free to leave a comment anytime online or at any community meeting.

Community meetings. Join us at one of three interactive community meetings during the UDC update. The first meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the update, ask questions, and provide guidance on zoning and development in Payson. During the second meeting, we'll dive deeper with a detailed review of potential regulations and improvements to the UDC; your input here is essential to tailor the update to Payson's unique needs. The third meeting is an open house, allowing you to review the draft UDC and offer feedback once more before the Town Council considers it for adoption.

Your Voice Matters

The UDC update will be successful only if it has input from the community. Residents, businesses, and property owners have insight that can shape the code to be “Payson-focused” creating a development environment that implements the General Plan and aligns with the values and needs of the community.
